How We Rank Restaurants
Our Approach
Our goal is simple: help you find the best restaurants in any city. Every ranking on toprestaurants.net is based on real ratings from Google Maps, reflecting the experiences of thousands of diners.
Data Source
All restaurant data — ratings, reviews, addresses, cuisine types, and prices — comes directly from Google Maps. We do not accept payments, sponsorships, or promotions from restaurants. No restaurant can pay to appear higher in our rankings.
How Rankings Work
Restaurants are ranked primarily by their Google Maps rating, from highest to lowest. When restaurants share the same rating, those with more reviews are ranked higher, as a larger number of reviews provides greater confidence in the rating.
Quality Threshold
We only include restaurants with a significant number of reviews to ensure our rankings reflect genuine, consistent dining experiences — not a handful of opinions.
Regular Updates
Our data is updated regularly to reflect the latest ratings and reviews. Each city page shows when its data was last refreshed.
Transparency
We believe in full transparency. Our rankings are entirely algorithmic — no editorial picks, no paid placements, no hidden criteria. What you see is a direct reflection of what real diners have rated on Google Maps.
